It’s time to select our leaders for the next year. If you know someone you think would make a good leader for our club (including you), please contact Nominations committee chair Cindy Murphy to volunteer candidates.
We all want to go places to explore our interests in the hobby – whether it is collecting, caving, or visiting geological sites/museums most members want more opportunities to learn about our hobby. This year saw some great progress in developing that aspect of our club. We need a motivated member to step up and take charge of planning and scheduling field trips.
No one person can come up with all the ideas or do all the work, though. So even if you aren’t comfortable leading the charge, your help would be appreciated by whomever takes on this responsibility.
If you can help out, contact Laird Fowler.
THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED: Thank You, Ludie!
Our Annual show is a hugely important activity to our club. It provides us exposure to new potential members. It gives us an opportunity to educate the public and swap stories, specimens, knowledge with people of like interests. And it provides a significant portion of the club’s annual operating budget.
This past year’s chairman’s duties have been fulfilled and we need a new show chairman to take up the reins. Can you help out?
If you’d like to run the show, or you just want to help out with the show, contact Laird Fowler.
